Allison Dickey
The opportunity to help parents truly understand a student’s learning profile is what compelled me to become an Educational Diagnostician. I began my career in education as a classroom teacher almost 20 years ago. My early years of classroom teaching allowed for first-hand experience with a variety of learning styles, which has been invaluable in my career as a Diagnostician.
As a diagnostician in the Frisco Independent School District, I gained an immense understanding of the identification and interventions of a variety of learning differences. In 2013, I was given the opportunity to apply this knowledge and experience in a private setting at The Winston Testing and Evaluation Center. At Winston, I worked with children ranging from five years of age through graduate school, and students who attended both private and public schools. It was also at Winston that I worked closely with Jennifer, the director of testing and assessment. I am thrilled to continue a strong professional partnership with Jennifer in JumpStart Student Success.
A psychoeducational evaluation can seem daunting. However, I strive to be a partner in each step of the process.

Your final report will be individually tailored to your student and reflect your student’s unique character, personality, and learning style. When a diagnosis is warranted, Iwill di scuss these implications and assist with identifying appropriate intervention options and academic accommodations. I continue to work with students of all ages and from a variety of educational settings.
I’m a Dallas native and graduate of The Episcopal School of Dallas. I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of Richmond in Virginia and completed my master’s degree in education at Texas Woman’s University. When I’m not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband, son and our Chocolate Labrador Retriever. I also volunteer at my son’s school, experiment with new recipes, and garden. – Allison Dickey
